The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
